Trump to announce decision on Paris climate change pact

Thousands are protesting President Trump's climate change policies on Saturday as part of the Peoples Climate March.

President Trump said he will reveal Thursday whether he intends for the U.S. to withdraw from the Paris climate change pact. He is widely expected to pull the U.S. out of the  agreement involving 197 nations. Reports of Trump's decision sparked an outcry in both Washington and in Europe, with experts warning that a U.S. pullout could have troubling consequences. Trump, who once proclaimed global warming a Chinese hoax, made a campaign pledge to end U.S. participation in United Nations initiatives on climate change. If Trump makes good on his promise, it would leave the U.S. in the company of Nicaragua and Syria as the only countries not to commit to the deal, which requires largely voluntary commitments to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
It was 50 years ago today that 'Sgt. Pepper' blew the world away
On June 1, 1967, the Beatles released Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, and nothing has been the same since. The Fab Four's eighth studio album became a huge hit, of course, selling more than 32 million copies globally. (A number of 50th anniversary re-issue packages were released last week.) More important was Sgt. Pepper's influence on music and society. With its groundbreaking sound effects, crazy-collage cover and "concept album" production, it inspired musicians from Pink Floyd to Radiohead to Stevie Wonder and helped kick-start the counterculture revolution. To celebrate Sgt. Pepper's reaching the half-century mark, we've ranked every Beatles song for you.
