Barcelona bring to a close a wonderful decade

As Frank Rijkaard's spell with the club neared its ugly end many wondered just how Barcelona would be able to recover, however what followed constituted a quite wonderful decade which has now drawn to a close.

Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Carles Puyol characterised the early successes under Pep Guardiola and since then it has been Lionel Messi who has catapulted himself into club folklore but with the Argentine now into his 30s it is clear he can't go on forever.
In the last 10 years the club has lifted the Copa del Rey five times and Luis Enrique has managed to win it on three consecutive seasons.
These domestic trophies have been accompanied by six LaLiga triumphs, six Supercopas and three Champions Leagues.
Los Cules have enjoyed the finest period of their history but now face a period of change with a new coach arriving and a totally new rival in the form of a seriously competitive Real Madrid.
